Sitting in state at the apex of jungle, dub and reggae music is the mighty Benny Page, an artist who has played a definitive role in shaping the UK’s drum and bass movement, and long ago joined British soundsystem culture’s royal family. Blasting onto the scene with his 2006 anthem ‘Turn Down The Lights’ Benny then released a slew of seminal ragga jungle cuts, as well as numerous well received productions across other areas of the dance music spectrum. Having cut his teeth on the Digital Soundboy imprint, he has gone on to collaborate with some of the most exciting producers and vocalists in the industry, from MC Spyda, Topcat and Sweetie Irie to Jessie J, Tinnie Tempah, Misha B, Arlisa & Nas, as well as taking his blazing brand of dubwise DnB to audiences across the globe. His remix collaboration with Congo Natty on "UK Allstars" remains an enduring modern classic of the UK underground. Benny has been a fixture at Boomtown Festival for the best part of a decade and is a central figure in the Jungle Cakes collective of artists. The birth of his label Dubshotta in 2016, with a debut EP from Benny himself, saw the artist receive a whole lot of love from the likes of DJ Target and 1 Xtra, and he’s been ever-present on the airwaves ever since. The festival anthem ‘Front Left’ with Eva Lazarus, turned heads in the summer of 2018, and Benny has just released the album P.U.R.P.L.E. alongside Sweetie Irie to huge acclaim.
Dope Ammo established in 1998 and is a hugely recognised, influential underground DnB label / Artist that has gone worldwide with his unique signature sound of drum and bass!
Huge hits over the years include Kill Bill, Roots & Culture and a “Bad Ass Rmx” for DnB legends Mickey Finn & Aphrodite.
Dope Ammo has toured worldwide for many years and headlined huge UK and overseas Festivals like Boomtown Fair, Nass Festival, Snowbombing and Fusion Festival - Berlin.
As well as collaborating with top big DnB players including the likes of Benny Page and Serial Killaz he has a massive selection of remixes under his belt including Alan Walkers global hit record “Faded” for Sony Music (Relentless) and also remixing top MC’s from Dynamite MC (Full Cycle), Tenor Fly, Lady Saw to Bigga Ranx and more recently hot New Orleans rapper Curren$y.
Dope Ammo is set to release his 3rd Studio album entitled “Influence”. The album is a collection of brand new music based on all the different genres that has influenced the Dope Ammo sound it is today, including, Funk, Disco, Soul, Hip Hop, Reggae, Old Skool Rave, and of course Jungle and DnB. Album artist collaborations include Benny Page, Serial Killaz, Taiwan MC and the legendary house diva Kathy Brown.
