Enjoy outdoor films under the stars every other Wednesday in July and August at Lost Lake Park in Whistler. Moonlit feature films are preceded by lakeside entertainment: Sunset BBQ, DJs, popcorn and PechaKucha Mini presentations.
Gates open at 8:30, films begin at sundown (approx. 9:30PM). Entry is $7, or $5 with a LUNA card.
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 17 2011 : LEAVES OF GRASS
FEATURE FILM :: Leaves of Grass. Edward Norton plays both Bill Kincaid and his diametrically opposed twin brother, Brady, in the comedy/drama/thriller, Leaves of Grass.
Bill takes a break from his Ivy League job to return to rural Oklahoma and bury his twin brother, a small-time pot grower. He ends up being involved in a doomed plot against a local drug lord (Richard Dreyfuss) and before he can flee, his life becomes completely unraveled in a series of comical implications.
Film critic Roger Ebert named Leaves of Grass as his favourite film of the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 31 2011 : SOURCE CODE
FEATURE FILM :: Source Code. When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life.
With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.
