This is going to be Jess Tucker's first gig since she got back to Whistler at the end of February!

Originally from Tasmania, Australia this passionate female DJ has been playing since the end of 2007. With her background as an accomplished drummer, guitarist, and saxophonist, Jess, (aka Miss Instigator) quickly developed her turntable skills to be playing in venues within a month of learning how to play.When Miss Instigator started ’throwing beats down’ she was the only female DJ in her region and experienced a male dominating environment. However, with most of her friends being DJs she found it easier to get into the scene. This led to many national and international supports for DJs such as Kid Kenobi, MC Shureshock and Baby Gee. Jess became resident DJ within Bar 39 and was able to take the initiative and successfully organize some of her own events.
Jess has been living in Canada for the last 3 years and started performing again during Christmas 2010, as support DJ for Bass Kleph, Yolanda Be Cool, and Joseph Martin. She has played and assisted in organizing some outdoor events, such as Full Moon, Smooth Action, Canada Day, advanced Bass-sick training for the Party Animal and Bounce.
Jessica is known for her underground electro music and ability to ‘read the crowd.’ She is readily able to manipulate the dance floor by playing more than one genre in her sets. Her diverse playing style adds to the atmosphere. She is totally in control of the dance floor.
Miss Instigator’s favorite quote is “Music is the universal language, from.” As a traveling DJ, Jess is convinced that music can be enjoyed within any cultural context, world-wide.

Miss KosmiK (aka Marie Fortin) is a Whistler based DJ and Promoter with a mission to make the world a better place using the power of music.
Marie’s KosmiK journey started in 1996, when she founded KosmiK Productions while living in Quebec. Now as a full time resident of Whistler for over 13 years, Marie has done several events under both Hilltrip and Kosmik Productions, including the Big Bang Winter Solstice Celebration for the past four years. This has helped her to gain a reputation for putting on great parties and for rocking dance floors wherever she goes.
In the last 4 years, Miss KosmiK has played at many music festivals including Burning Man 2012, EarthDance Vancouver 2012, Shambhala 2011 & 2012, SCOTT 2010 & 2011, SEXY SOUNDS 2011, several Solartribe Full Moons Parties, theme parties with Bass-Sick Productions and many other gatherings in the Sea to Sky Corridor as well as at the Sunset Room in Victoria. When it comes to clubs, she has played in all of Whistler’s nightclubs and a few Vancouver locations. She has toured BC showcasing the ELECTRONIC AWAKENING and is the organizer behind the new series of underground electronic dance music events called BallistiK Jam. This summer, you will be able to catch her at the Believe Freedom Festival, Shambhala, Solartribe Full Moons Party, Bass Sick Parties among other gatherings.
Known for her funkiness, mixing heavy baselines with uplifting grooves, you can be sure to get moving with her funky beats covering many genres, moods and tempos.
